Clarc Yachts wishes you a happy, successful and intense new sailing in 2012.
The view back to 2011 was very positive for us: The Clarc has 33 experienced a good market introduction and enjoys great popularity everywhere. Several very good racing results proove the Clarc to be not only a handy, classic racer but also succesfull on the racing courses beating bigger boats. End of the year yet entered into a further purchase order, which delighted us most: A Clarc 33 fully determined on regatta operation by waiver of extras will enrich the events on the lake from next April. Thus, we have installed on the Lake Constance a small fleet Clarc 33 right after the first season. By this the chances of a class activity and separate class ratings for the races increase significantly.
A development that makes us happy! When will you join in the friends of the Clarc sailors?
The Swiss test sailors from marina.ch have had the Clarc 33 now being put through its paces. In this atmosphere of sophisticated clientele-market the Clarc 33 managed to sail directly into their heart.
In particular, the elegant and technically well solved lift keel construction delighted the water level problem-plagued Alpine Sailors a lot. But this has obviously not to be content: It is the high light wind-performance that turned the testers enthusiastic as well as the "maximum and versatile use of space" inside in this size of boat. Their proffessional notice of high quality of workmanship, of course does not surprise us as this ultimately does not refer to "taste". In terms of Quality there is simply no ifs or buts.
Again, we welcome this positive feedback. read it here.

New rigg configuration for offshore and touring sailors
After the Clarc 33 with inshore-rigging quickly made friends especially on the mid-european lakes, the yard now introduces the handy and offshore-friendly Club model. The first Clarc 33 with Club rigging is now launched and tested.
Already before launch of the first Clarc 33 it was noticeable, that also many tour-sailors have put an eye on the trailer-light and fast Clarc 33 with lifting keel. Also sailors of classic boats, partly even with long keel profiles, enjoyed the classic look with the prospect of more sailing fun and flexibility. more...

"Simply beautiful - the Retro Racer is always perfect on the helm"
The experienced tester Michael Bohmann holds the Clarc 33 in every respect extraordinary - whether from her sailing performance or from her appearance. Behind the perfect form -how you know from traditional boat building- a very modern performance cruisers was revealed to him. In addition to the enthusiasm for the ease of use that makes it even less athletic sailors easy to find high sailing performance, he highlights in particular the high-quality equipment and ergonomics. Under gennaker he went almost as fast as the wind and in nasty gusts he enjoyed controllability and balance on the helm at any time. more...
In edition 3/2011 Lake Constance sailing journal IBN tests the qualities of the Clarc 33 with inshore rigg for inshore requirements. Hans-Dieter Möhlhenrich, himself a BB 10m-sailor is the right guy to check. He praises the good light wind performance, the handiness and the high quality production of the Clarc 33:
"The slim and fast boat, which is yet trailerable and equipped with a lifting keel offers the perfect set-up for Lake Constance and other inshore realms".
Particlarly as the tester detected the plenty of space and accomodation the boat provides for these requirements.
The Clarc 33 has been presented on the SuisseNautic in Bern 2011.

The racing debut ends up promising for the Clarc 33. On November 27th Markus Graf started with the Clarc on Lake Constance to a light-wind classic race, the "Eiserne" ("Iron Race"). At light winds the Clarc 33 took it up with definite light wind racers like Starboats, Skerry cruisers and Trias and finished 3rd. in its group of 22 competitors. The boat was craned in right before and started with heavy duty transfer sails from the baltic sea.
Next day the first interested sailors from the swiss and south german region could check the boat on the water and experience the good sailing perfromance and the well made craftmenship on the "Punsch-Sailing" at
Graf Yachting in Kreuzlingen.
YACHT 24/2010 reports in detail on the new Clarc 33. Author Hauke Schmidt points out the perfect sailing ability, the nicely made workmenship, the comfortable keel hydraulics as well as the attractive price. Further mentioning relates to the high quality material which made it possible to create a lightweight and also nice looking boat which is in standard trailerable.
Critics are mentioned regarding the unconventional short main sheet traveller, which may need some adaption but is senseful and the relatively short salon berth in comparison to same length big boats. At buyer´s option the Clarc will be delivered also with single point main sheet operation or a traveller track going all the way through the cockpit, deviding it though. In the forecabin and the quarterberth you will notice very comfortable proportions, especially nice width. Without the side cushions and with the practical berth extensions you may accomplish nice and comfortable sleeping area.
